What is an 8 point socket used for?

Our range of 8 point sockets are perfect for use on our range of Pyramid Head Door Screws, Lag Bolts and Square Headed Machine Bolts.

8 point sockets take away the need for the use of a shifter and will stop you rounding off the head of a square bolt. This makes installation faster, more efficient and protects your traditional hardware.

Squarehead fasteners can be found in various applications such as pipe plugs, drain plugs on small engines, marine engines, tractors, rear-ends, transmissions, compressors, taps, brake slack adjusters, antique furniture & and vintage tools.

Our sockets have a 3/8" inch drive and are used in conjunction with our following products:

The 3/8”-8pt socket is used for #12 pyramid head door screws & 1/4" lag bolts.
The 5/8"-8pt socket is used for 3/8" square nuts.
The 9/16”-8pt socket used for 3/8” machine bolts & 3/8” lag bolts.
