Product Description
Our heavy duty steel door handle No.5 is a handmade, durable industrial style product that's built to last.
20mm x 20mm solid steel bar is welded to create the handle that's mounted onto a 5mm hot rolled mild steel back plate. We back-weld the joint to provide a neat finish, but the overall look is hand fabricated - you can see the areas where we have worked and finished the steel. We like our products to feel handcrafted, not clinical.
The handle is finished in black oxide and sealed with linseed oil. The handle will gently patina over time, particularly around the area being touched, enhancing the worn-in aged look. A light coat of linseed oil every 6 months should help to keep the steel in beautiful condition. For outdoor applications, weathering may cause rust to develop over time.
The mounting plate is predrilled and ready to mount to your surface. Countersunk or flat holes are optional on this door handle depending on your mounting hardware. Please note, mounting hardware is not supplied with this product.
This handle would be ideally suited on a barn door or any heavy door where a solid and robust vintage industrial look is required.

To complement our range of industrial door handles, we supply a range of vintage style industrial black oxide Pyramid Head Screws. Pyramid Head Screws are decorative wood screws that attach hardware to doors, among other applications; hence the commonly used name, ‘Door Screws’. These are miniature square head lag screws, with a pyramid square head and no slot. These come in a variety of sizes to suit various application such as furniture construction, woodworking projects, lighting design and any general vintage industrial jobs. These Pyramid head bolts will create a more authentic appearance to your work.

Our door handle holes are designed to fit our #12 screw range or our 1/4” lag bolts - the length will be dependant on the thickness of your door. You'll get the option to make the handle hole countersunk or not once you add it to your cart. You'd just need to order the corresponding screws. If you plan on ordering our black oxide lag bolts, we suggest the use of a corresponding 1/4" rub washer. Most timber framers insist on the use of a rub washer to avoid having to deal with a scrubbed finish - where the corners of the square heads come to bear on the last quarter-turn of the install. They are ideal for use with all of our square head lag bolts, square head machine bolts and square nuts.
